Things are looking up for the Nissan Rogue. The crossover market's booming, and the Rogue's found a place in the lives of many from dealers such as Lithia Nissan of Ames. Now, the Japanese automaker is shooting for the Rogue to have an even larger segment share.
Currently, the Rogue ranks 5th in the Middle CUV segment. The segment's up 10.2 percent with 2,201,857 deliveries last year; also, through October of this year, the segment's increased 16.4 percent.
Nissan's Chief Marketing Manager Scott Shirely explains how the Rogue, like the crossover segment itself, will continue to flourish and how the Rogue will rise to the top.
"We're quite confident this new Rogue puts us at the head of the class," he says. "And the good news there is we'll stay there for the foreseeable future, because there are no other significant changes coming."1
Shirely says he anticipates that the Rogue will appeal to more men--making it an even split since the outgoing model appealed more to women.
Furthermore, the Rogue has the second highest loyalty among the new Nissan lineup--second only to the Altima sedan.
The Rogue returns with even greater capabilities including the optional third row to fit seven passengers, a standard "Divide-N-Hide" cargo system with 18 different configurations, a sportier exterior, and a reduction in drag.
Believe us, that's just a sliver of the cake we're talking about here, so if you want the full scoop, head on down to your local Nissan dealer, our Ames, IA showroom. We'll fill you in and promptly arrange a test drive for you.
