Let's face it. Most people these days can't go anywhere without their smartphones, laptops, etc. It's becoming more important every day to stay connected, and Japanese automaker Nissan is doing what it takes to stay ahead of its competitors by offering only the latest technologies.

Recently, Nissan joined forces with AT&T and Sirius XM Radio to provide a suite of systems for new Nissan vehicles to be sold in North America.

For example, SiriusXM's telematics system will give Nissan drivers roadside assistance, stolen vehicle tracking, and emergency support, with additional features to be announced soon. AT&T will make it simpler than ever to connect your smartphone, along with all of its apps and features, with your Nissan vehicle.

Glenn Lurie, president of AT&T Emerging Enterprises and Partnerships Organization, explains what the experience with the new technology will be like, stating, "Your future car is going to be a smartphone with four wheels with powerful capabilities specifically built for a safe and enhanced customer experience. By adding fast, reliable and built-in mobile internet for SiriusXM's forthcoming in-car experience, we are powering a connected experience inside Nissan automobiles for both drivers and passengers."1

The new systems will continue to be developed, adding additional features and programs to make drivers' and passengers' rides as enjoyable as possible.
