At Lithia Nissan of Ames, we like getting awards, and we aren’t surprised to see the affordable and durable Versa recognized for what it does so well. Starting at about $13,000, the Versa features a manual transmission and roll-up windows, but it also comes standard with AC and Bluetooth phone connectivity. Even loaded up with all available features, the Versa tops-out at around $18,000 and boasts onboard navigation, push-button start, and more similarly modern features.
According to KBB, “for commuters, college kids and first-time buyers, the Versa's comfortable ride, peppy engine and slick-shifting 5-speed manual transmission will probably win two big thumbs up. We found the Versa's steering properly assisted and its turning radius nice and tight. Visibility is excellent and the seats are firm with good head- and legroom both front and rear."
These attributes, in addition to the low starting price, high resale value, and excellent fuel economy (up to 40 mpg) all contribute to the 2016 Nissan Versa’s first-place finish from the KBB 5-Year Cost-to-Own Awards in the segment of Compact Car.
It’s good to be recognized for something Nissan puts a great deal of effort into. If you’re interested in low cost-to-own, high fuel economy, and excellent resale value, stop into our showroom, located at 2901 South Duff Ave, Ames to check out the Nissan Versa for yourself.
