The Nissan Foundation awarded the Nashville Public Library Foundation with a$25,000 grant to support the expansion of the Nashville Public Library's special civil rights training partnership with various law enforcement agencies and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
The Nashville Public Library's "Civil Rights and a Civil Society: Civil Rights Training for Nashville Enforcement Agencies and Beyond" began in 2015 as a partnership between Nashville Public Library and Metropolitan Nashville Police Department for new officer trainees and has expanded to include other entities.
